Washington, DC - Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) announced that the Committee will hold its organizational meeting for the 115th Congress at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.  At this meeting, the Committee will consider its committee rules package and the oversight and authorization plan.  Subcommittee leadership and assignments will also be confirmed at the organizational meeting. “Last Congress, the Committee accomplished a great deal in a strong bipartisan manner to improve the Nation’s infrastructure and transportation systems.  The FAST Act, WRDA 2016, our PRRIA passenger rail and Amtrak reforms, the PIPES Act, the Coast Guard Authorization Act, and other Committee measures are now law because of the hard work and dedication of our Members,” Shuster said.  “I look forward to getting to work with our new and returning members to continue our record of success in this Congress and help build a 21st century infrastructure for America.”       More information about the meeting, including rules and oversight plan adopted and live webcast, will be posted here as it becomes available.  Full subcommittee rosters will also be released following Tuesday’s organizational meeting.
