United Cargo announced it will designate Crane Worldwide Logistics as its sole Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) freight forwarding partner.
CRAF is a program whereby United Airlines makes their aircraft and flight crews available to the Department of Defense (DOD) in times of need. To participate in the international segments of CRAF, United must maintain a minimum commitment of its capable cargo fleet. United Cargo will partner with Crane Worldwide Logistics, a full-service air, ocean, trucking, customs brokerage and logistics company, to provide air freight support to various government segments and private sector businesses. The United Cargo and Crane Worldwide partnership will deliver the end-to-end supply chain solutions needed to fulfill DOD requirements. “United is proud of our long-term commitment to the CRAF program, and we take our CRAF responsibilities very seriously,” said Jim Bellinder, United Cargo’s Vice President of Worldwide Sales. “We are very pleased to be maintaining this commitment while enhancing our relationship with valued partner Crane Worldwide Logistics.” “Since opening in 2008 we have developed a strategic relationship with United,” said John Magee, President and CEO of Crane Worldwide Logistics. “Being designated as United’s partner in the CRAF program only takes this relationship one step further. Our partnership with United will only help us to continue providing first-class high-touch, high-value and high-service supply-chain solutions.”
