HOUSTON - TransCanada Corp issued new tariffs effective Nov. 1 for committed shippers on its Keystone pipeline moving oil from the international border near Canada down to Port Arthur, Texas, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday.
Pipeline tariffs for uncommitted, spot shippers were already available on the line, but the committed tariffs are new, according to a tariff filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The new rate, which includes fixed and variable costs, is $55.979 per cubic meter for light crude and $59.753 per cubic meter for heavy crude. The rate specifies a 20-year term contract.
In July, TransCanada launched an open season to offer the option for binding commitments to send crude from Canada down to the Gulf Coast.
