ATLANTA - UPS® (NYSE:UPS) today announced Norman M. Brothers, Jr. has been named Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, effective January 1, 2016. He will join the UPS Management Committee, the company’s senior-most leadership group. Brothers will report directly to UPS Chief Executive Officer David Abney. “Norm has demonstrated tremendous leadership in the 15 years since joining our Legal team,” says UPS Chief Executive Officer David Abney. “His experience in diverse legal areas and understanding of our business will be key as he works as part of the leadership team to maintain the high standards we’ve set for our company.” Brothers joined UPS in 2000. He most recently served as the company’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. He has led diverse legal practice areas including litigation, corporate, business development, regulatory compliance and international. He also has managed the global privacy team and the office of the corporate secretary. Before joining UPS, he was a military prosecutor in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and practiced at the international law firm King & Spalding. Brothers received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and law degree from Emory University School of Law. Also on January1, Teri McClure, currently Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President, Human Resources will devote her time fully to the development of the company’s human capital strategy in the role of Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources and Labor.
