Earlier in his career, Cade served as Director of Fleet Maintenance for ServiceMaster, with responsibility for more than 15,000 units; as Executive Vice President of Maintenance and Purchasing for Arrow Trucking; and as Vice President of Maintenance for Ryder System, with responsibility for 180,000 trucks. Cade has been a member of the Technology and Maintenance Council since 1986 and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. He earned an Associate of Science in Diesel Engineering from Des Moines Area Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with honors, from Nova-Southeastern University in Florida.
