CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Valspar Corporation, one of the world’s leading coatings manufacturers, selected Kenco Logistics to provide warehouse, production and IT services at two key U.S. locations—a 400,000-square-foot coatings facility in Romeoville, Illinois and a 72,000-square-foot furniture-care facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In addition to its robust distribution capabilities, Kenco was selected because of its supply chain intelligence system, UNIFY, which delivers critical shipment visibility in the form of reports, analysis views, and dashboards. “We are excited to have Kenco as a partner that is dedicated to bringing our customers the latest innovations, the finest quality, and the best customer service,” said Patrick Young, senior logistics manager at Valspar.  At the Valspar Romeoville facility, Kenco is providing warehouse management and labor for the distribution of latex and oil-based consumer paints. At the Grand Rapids location, Kenco is handling furniture care and mattress-protection production—including filling, packaging, and kitting product for retail sale—as well as distribution services. “With our solid onsite management team, supported by our deep corporate resources, we are dedicated to making these showplace facilities for Valspar,” said David Caines, chief operating officer at Kenco. “Moreover, UNIFY will provide Valspar a new level of visibility with just a few keystrokes.”
