Vancouver is the newest destination in Virgin Atlantic Cargo's international network following the launch of four flights a week to London Heathrow.

Flights depart from London every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The new services strengthen the airline's network in the North American market, which already includes the nine long-haul destinations of New York City, Boston, Washington, Miami, Chicago, Orlando, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. In May, Virgin Atlantic resumed weekly A340-600 flights between London Heathrow and Chicago having earlier also added a further three flights a week from San Francisco.

Dan Parker, Vice President, Commercial at Virgin Atlantic Cargo, said: 'Vancouver is one of Canada's largest industrial centres and has thriving business sectors such as software development, biotechnology, aerospace and perishables. With our reputation for high service levels and reliability plus the network of connections we offer globally, we are confident of gaining support from the freight forwarding industry in Canada.'

Virgin Atlantic Cargo offers a global network that covers more than 350 destinations worldwide, supported by global interline and trucking partners.
