With the appointment of Walter Holzhammer, Austrian based air and sea freight specialist cargo-partner has recruited another international and well-experienced logistics professional.

Walter Holzhammer has gained valuable experience at various international transportation companies and previously held the role of Sales Manager in Austria at UPS. With immediate effect he is taking on the role of "Director Sea Cargo Vienna" at cargo-partner.

Georg Dangl, who fulfilled this role for many years, will now concentrate on the areas of Carriers Relations and Group Procurement across the group as a consequence of the group's intensive expansion.

The transportation and logistics provider has managed to make itself a name as international air and sea freight specialist. Throughout the last few years cargo-partner has established a very strong network of offices across Eastern European countries as well as in the two most important air and sea freight markets in Europe, Germany and France. The company's consolidated turnover (2004: EUR 142 million) is estimated to increase by 30% in the current fiscal year.

Walter Holzhammer: "Due to the positioning of the company and its accompanied schemes for expansion I am aware of the enormous market potential. Austria by reason of its location will play a significant role and we plan to set a strong course in Austria's domestic market as well. Being able to contribute in a managerial position I regard as a very attractive challenge.'
