Over 2,500 independent freight forwarders will gather in Bangkok, Thailand from March 3-10 at what has become the largest logistics networking event in the world.

In 2012 a total of 2,080 paying delegates registered and attended the conference, and thanks to the many tens of millions of dollars of new business created, demand for the 2013 edition has broken all previous records.

WCA Family President, David Yokeum, said: 'Demand for delegate places is around 30 per cent higher than in 2012 and this alone demonstrates the tremendous value and return on investment for each company in attendance. By the time the conference opens, over 100,000 individual meetings will have been pre-scheduled through our unique One-on-One meeting software. This number is simply staggering and, combined with a whole range of social networking events, the opportunities for creating new business partnerships and increasing revenues are almost limitless.'

Freight forwarding companies from 185 countries have already confirmed their attendance, alongside selected vendor carriers, charter brokers, IT providers and industry media.

'The strength and vibrancy of this conference mirrors the growing confidence and impact made by the independent freight forwarding community. Working together as an effective worldwide network, with all the benefits this brings, has allowed WCA member companies to rapidly grow their business and revenues, reach into new markets and compete ever more effectively in the global market,' said Yokeum.

The conference will also see WCA Family deliver a major new announcement to the membership as the network celebrates its 15-year anniversary.
