Weber Distribution, a leading West Coast provider of dedicated warehousing and transportation logistics for more than 84 years, announced that it has hired Mike Epeneter as its new Vice President, Transportation, effective immediately.

Epeneter, with more than 23 years of experience in the transportation industry, is responsible for leading Weber's Transportation Division, which operates both a substantial fleet in the Western United States and comprehensive North American freight management. In this role, he oversees more than 200 Weber employees who provide customers with a wide variety of services, including temperature-controlled and dry LTL, same-day and truckload services, as well as pool distribution, cross-docking/transloading, port and rail drayage, and nationwide freight management. Epeneter also manages Weber's customer service team, eight service centers, and fleet of more than 150 power units and 350 refrigerated and dry trailers.

Prior to joining Weber, Epeneter held the position of Senior Vice President, Operations, Western USA for DHL Express where he managed 6,500 employees and independent contractors for the Western United States. His territory included 200 service centers, 20 airport facilities and more than 6000 pick-up and delivery routes.

During his tenure with DHL, Epeneter held the positions of Senior Vice President, Operations, Southeast USA; Regional Services Director, Northwestern USA; Area Services Manager based in Seattle, Washington; Area Services Manager based in Los Angeles; and Area Operations Manager based in San Diego, California.

Epeneter also worked for Browning Ferris Industries as Operations Manager, Commercial and Residential in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and as Operations Manager for Emery Worldwide.
