The global air cargo expertise of Airline Network Services and Atlas Air has been joined to launch export'air shipments from the West Coast to South American markets, according to an announcement by Jens Tubbesing,'ANS's Chief Executive Officer. Noting that Atlas Air is the operator of the world's biggest'B747F jet freighter fleet,

Tubbesing stated that ANS services originate in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle, proceed by truck to'the Miami gateway, and the freight is airlifted to destinations at Lima, Santiago and Sao Paolo, and beyond.

The association of ANS, a general service agency, with Atlas Air, enables ANS to'accommodate high-volume'traffic, Mr. Tubbesing pointed out.

ANS's'offices on the West Coast are located in all the major cargo cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland.

Commenting on ANS's new link with Atlas Air and the new international service, Tubbesing declared that it represented the company's ongoing drive'to broaden operations and double growth in'the current year. "The customer's requirements are our first responsibility," Tubbesing said.' "In fact, it is our hallmark."
