CaroTrans, a leading global NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, announces today a new direct, all water LCL (less than container load) import service from Shanghai to Boston. The first sailing of this weekly service was October 20, 2011. This offering is in response to requests from importers for a fast service direct to Boston that bypasses New York metropolitan area congestion.

'We are pleased to introduce a new, direct LCL service from Shanghai to Boston,' said Greg Howard, CaroTrans Global CEO. 'CaroTrans' reliable consolidation services in Shanghai provide a flexible shipping option for shippers wishing to ship smaller volumes and closely control inventory levels.'

This new service is a fast 32 day transit from Shanghai to Boston that provides importers with a convenient and alternative way to move cargo to the Boston market,' said Joe Pimentel, Branch Manager, CaroTrans Boston. In addition to this new service to Boston, 'CaroTrans also offers weekly Shanghai LCL service to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa, and South America,' remarked Pimentel.

CaroTrans is experiencing significant China market growth. This is evident from their extensive LCL consolidation services to the U.S. from multiple China ports including Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Xingang, and Ningbo. CaroTrans will soon be opening their 7th China office located in Qingdao.
