The office, located in the new Spirit Air Cargo Handling terminal in Arlanda Airport, will coordinate services across Sweden on behalf of airlines, freight forwarders and cargo GSAs. It is Haugsted's fourth office, joining Billund, Copenhagen and Oslo.
Peter Nygaard, Branch Manager, said: 'Haugsted has experienced very strong growth in Sweden in the past two years. The market is buoyant and has unique characteristics; we felt now was the time to upgrade our services. By providing our customers with local expertise, we can deliver a quicker and more personal service. We have seen several airlines adding Sweden to the networks recently and we are now able to give them an integrated range of products including a distribution network across the Nordic region, ground handling, messaging and other advantages.
'However, the majority of Swedish air cargo still moves by road and we have a excellent choice of scheduled feeder services from and to numerous European airports to ensure fast and reliable connections.'
