During the November 16th meeting, the Port Freeport Commission and staff presented a check in the amount of $84,000 from the proceeds of the 12th Annual Port Freeport Golf Tournament to Chris Moore, Director of Texas Port Ministry (TPM).

The golf tournament was held on October 16, 2023, at The Wilderness Golf Course in Lake Jackson, Texas, with a single-flight foursome scramble format. The generosity of our teams and over 78 sponsors from the Freeport and Houston maritime transportation industry, and local businesses within the district made the event a huge success achieving record net proceeds of $84,000. These proceeds will benefit TPM, and the important services provided to seafarers, truckers, and others.

“The Port Commission and I would like to extend a special thank you to our dedicated sponsors, their teams, and all of the volunteers for their commitments each year,” said Port Commission Chairman Ravi Singhania. “It is an honor to host the annual tournament benefiting Texas Port Ministry, and knowing all the proceeds benefit individuals that come into contact with our Port community on a daily basis.”
