The Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) successfully hosted its 24th Annual Membership Conference in Marrakech, Morocco, from October 6 to 8, 2026. Members from across the globe gathered for a dynamic program of business networking, industry insights, strategic discussions, and cultural exchange in one of North Africa's most vibrant destinations.

The event was hosted and principally sponsored by WWPC's Moroccan member, Pèrez y Cia Maroc, headquartered in Tangier. Under the leadership of Managing Director Mr. Ali El Hsissen, the company delivered an exceptional conference experience for WWPC members and invited guests.

The conference commenced with a Welcome Garden Reception at the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort. During the following two days, delegates participated in member-to-member meetings, industry presentations, networking activities, and cultural experiences organized by Pèrez y Cia Maroc and WWPC.

Key presentations were delivered by:

  • Mr. Anas Halhal, Director of Tanger Med Port and its terminals
  • Mr. Salmi Zobair, Head of Transportation Strategy and Coordination Division, Ministry of Transport, Morocco
  • Mr. Ali El Hsissen, General Manager, Pèrez y Cia Maroc
  • Ms. Affaf and Ms. Yassima, representatives of La Main Tendue Marrakech Association

One of the highlights of the conference was the annual WWPC Charity Auction in support of La Main Tendue Marrakech Association, represented by its founder, Mr. Mahdi Abou Ziad.

Representatives Ms. Affaf and Ms. Yassima shared the organisation's inspiring work and its commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families in Morocco.

Led by auctioneer Mr. Wolfgang Karau, Director of Worldwide Project Consortium, the charity auction raised an impressive USD 30,000 through generous donations from the attending members, as well as contributions from BBC Chartering, LYSEO, Steder Group, WWPC, Quality Cargo Networks and Pèrez y Cia Maroc.

During the conference, members elected the following Board of Advisors for the next 12-month term:

  • Mr. Elmer Sarmiento, Royal Cargo, Philippines
  • Mr. Ahmed Dahshan, KML (Khedivial Marine Logistics), Egypt
  • Mr. Marcel Hafemann, Ambercor Shipping, USA
  • Mr. Ole Dammann, LS Cargo Logistics, Germany

Members also voted to hold the 2027 WWPC Membership Conference in Lyon, France, in early October. WWPC member LYSEO will serve as the local host for the event.

WWPC extends its sincere appreciation to Pèrez y Cia Maroc for its outstanding support, hospitality, and commitment to making the Marrakech conference a resounding success.
