In light of Earth Day, companies across industries are continuously thinking of ways to implement sustainable efforts to their practices – specifically, within the trucking industry. In fact, technology adoption across fleets has grown up to 44 percent in the past year. New technologies are being adopted by the trucking industry that are truly making a difference in the environment, including electric trucks.

A. Duie Pyle (Pyle), the premier provider of asset and non-asset based transportation and supply chain solutions in the Northeast, has been chosen to implement the first two of only 20 electric FUSO eCanter trucks in North America out of its Bronx terminal to service the New York City metro area. The trucks further Pyle’s sustainable efforts with a state-of-the-art modular HV battery pack and permanent synchronous e-motor. The eCanter delivers an impressive output of 185 kW and powerful torque. Pyle has continuously incorporated green practices within its fleet, facilities and operations over the years – from a 100 percent solar powered warehouse in Parkesburg, PA, to paperless dock management and handheld systems.
