As U.S. automakers evaluate the immediate and long-term cost implications of tariffs affecting vehicles and components manufactured in Canada and other countries outside the U.S., Amsted Automotive offers an established domestic manufacturing alternative. The U.S.-based company operates 11 manufacturing facilities across Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin, providing engineering expertise, advanced Manufacturing processes and capacity close to customer operations.

Amsted combines available U.S. production capacity, advanced manufacturing capabilities and the capital resources required to support new and transferred programs. This combination positions the company to respond quickly and meet the quality, volume and timing requirements of global automakers.

Rather than requiring automakers to build new supplier infrastructure or wait for capacity, Amsted can apply existing U.S. resources to component localization, production transfers and new programs. Its domestic operations span advanced metal forming, cold forming and finishing, powder-metal manufacturing, laser welding, precision stamping and the production of complex components and assemblies for propulsion, chassis and other vehicle systems.

The U.S. network includes operations in Saginaw (two plants), Belleville (two plants), Munith, Sterling Heights, Shelby Township and Taylor, Michigan; Geneva, Illinois (two plants); and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
