SHANGHAI - Arpin International Group has hired Michael Hughes as assistant general manager of the company’s office in Shanghai. 

“Mike has six solid years in the international moving and relocation industry and is fluent in Chinese and Korean,” said Michael Johnsen, vice-president, Asia region, of Arpin International Group. “He is ready to roll up his sleeves and become part of the team as a strategic hard worker and customer service leader, driving us toward greater results and opportunities.”

As assistant general manager, Hughes will be supporting the Arpin China office and the vice-president of the Asia region with business development, client relations, account implementation, client growth strategies, people management and digital marketing. 

Hughes received his Bachelor of Arts in cross-cultural studies from Nyack College, New York, and is certified in the Lean Six Sigma methodology as well as Google AdWords. 

He has served in the nonprofit sector with Habitat for Humanity and local charitable organizations such as People-4-Pets and River of Hearts.
