Blue Water has entered into a 5-year agreement with Vestas for the handling of wind components at the Blue Water Terminals in Esbjerg and Cuxhaven in Germany. The parties have worked closely together on wind projects for many years, but the new contract is the largest so far concluded between the companies.

The 5-year agreement covers terminal handling of the heavy wind turbine components, stevedoring, storage, and service of all Vestas' components, which are shipped to and from all over the world via Esbjerg and Cuxhaven.

"The fact that Vestas entrusts us with this important task is a vote of confidence that we are proud of. Blue Water has been involved from the wind industry's infancy, and our colleagues at the ports and terminals are well equipped with extensive experience to solve the task safely and efficiently and at the same time contribute to the green transition", says Brian Sørensen, Global Category Head, Wind and Port Service, Blue Water.

"We look forward to continuing the good cooperation we already have today with Blue Water. Safety and quality are Vestas' priorities, and at Blue Water, we are convinced that we will get the right solution, and we look forward to continuing and expanding the collaboration in the future", says Torben Andersen, Head of Transport Procurement, Vestas.
