Rotterdam -  Broekman Logistics and Dudok Logistiek Vastgoed realize a new warehouse of 12,500 m2 at Maasvlakte. The modern warehouse is suitable for the storage of both hazardous as well as non-hazardous substances.  This enables Broekman Logistics and Dudok to expand the existing lease to a capacity of 34,000 m2 of warehousing at Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. The large-scale distribution centre is located at an excellent strategic location within Maasvlakte 1. It is very close to Europaweg (N15) and the access to Maasvlakte 2. The warehouse will be delivered as turnkey project in July. Warehouse capacity “The expansion of our capacity forms part of our growth strategy in the Netherlands. More and more customers are demanding value-added logistics in the Rotterdam port area. With the expansion we want to be and remain market leader in the area of ADR storage”, said Willem Jan van Amersfoort (Managing Director Warehousing & Distribution).  Broekman Logistics’ total warehousing capacity in the Netherlands amounts to over 250,000 m2. A third of this is designed for the storage of hazardous substances (ADR). The warehouse capacity at Maasvlakte is 35,000 m2. As well as the construction of the warehouse, Broekman Logistics is hiring over 22,500 m2 of warehousing at Maasvlakte from Dudok Logistiek Vastgoed.   “With our existing tenant, Broekman Logistics, we have found the perfect partner to further develop the existing distribution centre and to realise a built-to-suit PGS15 expansion for the storage of hazardous substances”, said Wouter Vos (Director of Dudok Logistiek Vastgoed).  The building permit has been granted and construction works have now started.
