deugro has appointed Christian Arndt as Senior Vice President – Oil & Gas Logistics responsible for the global development of deugro’s oil and gas supply chain business unit.
Starting February 1, 2019, he will be tasked with the establishment of the oil and gas supply chain business unit, resulting in a further expansion of deugro’s portfolio for this industry vertical.
Christian Arndt comes from Kuehne + Nagel, where he held the position of Senior Vice President Sales Projects – Oil & Gas – Marine Logistics in a global corporate function.
“We are very pleased that Christian is joining deugro with the objective to develop and manage the oil and gas supply chain business unit. This will allow us to provide an even larger range of services to our valuable clients,” says Klaus Strahmann, Senior Executive Vice President deugro group.
Christian Arndt comes with an impressive understanding of deugro’s client requirements and has a proven track record of operational and business development skills, established under assignments with oil and gas operators as well as with freight forwarders. His exposure to both sides of the industry is expected to form the foundation for a perfect understanding of clients’ logistics requirements in an ever-changing environment of digitalization and cost-efficient freight forwarding solutions.
For close to 18 years, Christian Arndt has been working within the oil and gas industry in challenging on- shore production locations in Africa for ExxonMobil and Tullow Oil, as well as in senior management positions for Geodis, Bertling, and Kuehne + Nagel.
“I believe that deugro has a fantastic market recognition in the project forwarding industry, a progress that I have followed with admiration while working in my former assignments. Joining such a great company and team as head of the new business unit Oil & Gas Logistics / Supply Chain is not only a pleasure, but also a privilege that I will be aiming to reflect on a happy customer basis,” states Christian Arndt.
