One of CMA CGM's largest container ships, the 396-meter-long CMA CGM Marco Polo, has been equipped with a very large windshield in the bow. Over the next six months, the shipping company will assess the effect on fuel consumption.

The purpose of the windshield is to increase the ship's aerodynamics, thereby reducing fuel consumption and climate impact.

If it succeeds in documenting a positive effect, the plan is to equip other of the shipping company's ships with a similar windscreen.
