ContainerPort Group (CPG®) has announced the opening of its 27th trucking terminal. Located in Greer, South Carolina, the expansion into the market demonstrates CPG’s strength and continued growth in 2021.

“With terminal locations already operating in both Charlotte and Greensboro, opening a facility in Greer is a great move to provide blanket coverage to the entire region and make things easier on our owner-operators dispatching inland,” says CPG Executive VP Joey Palmer. “We’re already familiar with servicing customers in this area and the addition of a Greer terminal will allow our owner-operators to quickly get dispatched for the local routes in the area and get them home nightly.”

CPG Regional VP TJ Frye added “I’m personally excited to open the Greer location. I grew up in this area and know that there is a real opportunity to help customers in this market with their imports and exports. We can absolutely provide the trucks needed to meet our customers’ demand for service here.”

Located at 154 Metro Court, the facility is less than five miles from Inland Port Greer, and less than four miles from I-85, allowing for quick and easy access to major metro areas. With the cities of Charlotte, Atlanta, and Columbia all within 160 miles, Greer is an ideal location for moving freight in the southeast United States.

The facility is scheduled to open on April 1, 2021.
