Contship announces its entry into DCSA+, the partnership program launched in March 2025 by DCSA (Digital Container Shipping Association) to accelerate the adoption of digital standards across container shipping. DCSA is a non-profit organization that leads the digital transformation of container shipping through open standards and cross-industry collaboration. DCSA+ thus extends the collaborative approach outlined by the association beyond ocean carriers to include non-carrier stakeholders such as terminal operators, technology providers, shippers, freight forwarders, and feeders operators.
By joining the project, Contship will contribute to the development of shared digital standards aimed at reducing fragmentation in data exchange and enabling more reliable services, ultimately improving supply chain transparency and efficiency. The Group will focus on aligning terminal processes with globally recognized standards, with particular attention to vessel arrival, berth planning, container status, port call optimization, and end-to-end visibility across the entire container journey. This will support grater terminal efficiency, improved planning accuracy, and stronger day-to-day collaboration with shipping lines.

“DCSA+ aims to develop standards for the entire container transport ecosystem. With the entry of terminal operators such as Contship into the process, we ensure that these entities also become key players, contributing their operational and practical perspective, raising the quality of standards, and accelerating their adoption throughout the entire container journey" added Mariana Bock-Losada, Chief Growth Officer at DCSA.
By joining DCSA+, Contship strengthens its strategic role in the national logistics system and in particular in the Mediterranean, promoting the competitiveness and digital interoperability of global supply chains.
