This past week, Estes Express Lines, the largest, privately owned freight carrier in North America, celebrated the opening of its new, state-of-the-art terminal in Banning, California. The new terminal expands Estes’ growth on the West Coast.

Some key aspects of the new terminal include:

All-electric forklifts: The terminal is one of the first in its network to use all-electric forklifts, and the new terminal will have eight electric tractors on site.

Expansive dock space: Featuring 133 doors and a three-bay shop, the terminal spans 39 acres of land, which allows for faster freight transfers.

Sustainable: With energy-efficient interior/exterior lighting throughout the terminal, the Banning location uses 85% less electricity than conventional lighting, further aligning with Estes' sustainability efforts.
