CIRCLE Group announces that eXyond has joined TISGRADE – Traffic Management Information Services upGRADe Europe.
Funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Transport program, TISGRADE brings together a broad European partnership of national, regional and local road authorities, National Access Points, technology companies and mobility service providers in a Europe-wide partnership to strengthen and advance the ecosystem of traffic information services.
In line with the objectives of the revised EU RTTI Delegated Regulation and the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Directive, TISGRADE seeks to bridge the gap between pre-deployment validation and the large-scale implementation of advanced traffic information services across Europe.
As part of the project, eXyond will bring its expertise in infomobility, traffic data management and digital mobility services, participating in several technical and deployment activities with an
allocated grant of nearly €135.000. The company's involvement will focus on the digitalization of traffic circulation plans and temporary traffic management measures, as well as on the validation and continuous improvement of traffic data quality.
The project also foresees pre-deployment validation activities in Italy, alongside other European pilot locations, allowing solutions to be tested under real-world operating conditions before being rolled out on a wider scale.
Alexio Picco, Board Member of eXyond and Head of the Infomobility Business Line at CIRCLE Group, commented: “TISGRADE addresses one of the key challenges for the future of mobility: turning the growing amount of traffic data available across Europe into information that is reliable, interoperable and genuinely useful for both operators and road users. For eXyond and CIRCLE Group, this initiative represents an important opportunity to leverage our expertise in infomobility and traffic-data solutions within a European framework, contributing to a safer, more efficient and increasingly data-driven transport system.”
A defining strength of TISGRADE is the scale of its European partnership. The consortium covers 20 EU Member States and Norway, and includes over 50 public authorities and leading private technology and mobility service providers.
This public-private cooperation represents a key pillar of TISGRADE, whose ambition extends beyond technological deployment to the development of shared methodologies, governance frameworks and feedback mechanisms designed to ensure the continuous improvement of traffic data quality across Europe.
The project is coordinated by NDW, the Dutch National Road Traffic Data Portal, which oversees project management and communication activities.
“TISGRADE unites a diverse European partnership behind a shared goal: improving the availability, interoperability and cross-border use of high-quality traffic information. By combining the expertise of public authorities, National Access Points and private mobility-service providers, we are laying the foundations for solutions that can be deployed at scale and sustained across Europe.” said the TISGRADE Project Coordinator, Annet van Veenendaal.
Throughout the project, TISGRADE will also work on securing long-term impact and encouraging wider adoption. This includes developing recommendations and a roadmap to strengthen future public-private cooperation and support the broader deployment of traffic information services across Europe.
