Albany, New York – Federal Marine Terminals (FMT) signed a new operating agreement on November 2 with the Albany Port District Commission (APDC). This agreement has a base term of ten years with three five-year extensions. In essence, this agreement spans the next 25 years and testifies to the strong, stable and profitable relationship between FMT and the APDC that was first established in 1996. This accord demonstrates FMT’s long-term commitment to its employees and labor force within the Albany operation—hopefully, some who may still be valued FMT employees when this contract concludes—and with the Port of Albany. Michel Tosini, Executive Vice-President of Federal Marine Terminals had this to say, “On behalf of the entire FMT group, we look forward to cultivating and expanding upon the successful partnership of FMT and the Port of Albany for many years to come.”
