Silo for making mozzarella cheese in South Jutland
Airland Logistics, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Denmark, takes part in a factory expansion for one of the largest producers of dairy products in Scandinavia. Demand for mozzarella is increasing so for supply to be able to keep up with demand the dairy factory in Southern Jutland region of Denmark has expanded for a larger three-digit million (DKK) amount and with the enhancement of production sustainability, the production of mozzarella will more than double.
Each silo length measures up to 25 meters and 5,32 diameter, in total approx. 8350 cbm and 380 tons for all 15 silos. The project involved ship’s unloading operations, stevedoring, clearance, and delivery of silos by specialised trucks through planned route surveyed and with escorts. Due to the size of the silos, careful planning has gone into finding the best route from Esbjerg port through 70 km to the factory in Southern Jutland. All 15 silos were safely and successfully delivered!
