ICTL Belgium managed the export of eight new Deutz-Fahr Agrotron agricultural tractors from Antwerp, Belgium, to Halifax, Canada. The tractors were shipped as self-propelled RoRo units across two consolidated shipments, with a combined weight of approximately 64 tons. The operation required careful coordination of RoRo booking, inland trucking, terminal handling and customs documentation to meet strict shipping and Canadian biosecurity requirements.
Each tractor weighed approximately 6.5 to 11.2 tons and measured approximately 5.0-5.8 M long, 2.55-2.75 M wide and 3.0-3.15 M high. The shipment covered approximately 3,160 nautical miles (5,860 kilometers), with a transit time of 10-13 days.
The tractors also had to arrive free of soil and dirt residue to comply with Canadian biosecurity requirements under CFIA standards. Close coordination between ICTL Belgium, inland transport providers and the terminal helped ensure the cargo was properly prepared and delivered within the required RoRo schedule.
