Lanehub, a collaborative transportation network that enables shippers or carriers to match recurring freight lanes based on long-term direct partnerships, today announced that ongoing growth has led to the addition of two new members to its team.
“Our continued success has resulted in the expansion of our team,” said Mark Hackl, CEO and founder of Lanehub. “Our new team members bring industry and customer focused experience that will add value for shippers and carriers on our growing network. We are thrilled to be able to make these exceptional additions to our team.”
New and existing private and dedicated fleets are expanding their use of the Lanehub collaborative network to improve capacity utilization and reduce costs. Across the board, Lanehub is realizing growth in the number of lane matches on its platform, and is steadily onboarding new members, including Fortune 500 companies, and food and beverage, consumer goods and manufacturing operations.
Mark Thomson has joined Lanehub as Vice President of Business Development. In that role, he will foster and build relationships and create strategic solutions that strengthen member supply chains and increase their competitive advantage. Thomson’s background includes more than 20 years of experience in supply chain sales and operations management, as well as expertise building a successful startup business with a focus on transportation innovation.
Lanehub’s collaborative transportation network allows shipper and carrier members to work together and collaborate on the best ways to implement matches. Backhaul Assist, the newest capability offered by Lanehub, allows shippers that have private fleets or utilize dedicated contract carriers to market their available or anticipated capacity to other shippers.
