There is an ongoing strike situation with the last-mile truck carriers in Mexico since August 7th, 2023.

This strike is affecting the operations for cleared import cargo and for customs-approved exports, and inland operations (Truck – Rail – Rail combined), making it impossible to withdraw and enter containers in some areas.

The ports involved are Lazaro Cardenas, the rail Terminal for Mexico City that remains with blockages and some delays in Manzanillo, Ensenada, and Altamira ports.

MSC MEXICO is working on the pre-allocation of cargo based on the initial dates of service request, so that, once the contingency is over and despite the high demand and saturation in terminals, we can resume the operation as quickly as possible.

We understand the impacts supply chains are having and regret the inconvenience; these situations are beyond MSC's control but they are here to assist, however, please keep in mind that additional charges could be generated.
