The first monthly event will be held March 27th at the SCPA headquarters

Charleston, South Carolina - The Worldwide Supply Chain Federation, a collaborative, and mutually supportive coalition of global grassroots communities focused on technology and innovation in the global supply chain industry, today announces the launch of a new chapter, The Charleston Supply Chain Meetup in Charleston, South Carolina.

The first event will be held on Wednesday, March 27th from 5-9 PM at the South Carolina Ports Authority’s (SCPA) new headquarters: 200 Ports Authority Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC. Registration is encouraged and it is free to attend.

The event theme is ‘Supply Chain, Innovation, and Disruption in South Carolina’. The agenda is as follows:

  • 5-5:30 PM Pre-event networking
  • 5:30 PM Welcome remarks from G. Michael Rentz Jr.
  • And Brian L. Aoaeh (#TWSCF)
  • 5:45-6:30 PM Keynote address by Jim Newsome, President and CEO of The South Carolina Ports Authority. 
  • 6:35-7:20 PM Panel 1: Intro to Supply Chain. Where Charleston has been, where we are, and where we are going.
  • 7:25 PM-8:10 PM Panel 2: Introduction to innovation and disruption in South Carolina.
  • 8:15 PM Closing Remarks from G. Michael Rentz Jr.
  • 8:20 PM-9:00 PM Post-event networking
Timothy Simpson, Brand & Engagement Strategist with the Design Studio by Maritz Global Events, will moderate the event.

The goal of The Charleston Supply Chain Meetup is to bring together the existing assets, players, and progress already accomplished in South Carolina to further stimulate innovation and progress to advance startups and established supply chain businesses.
