Lübcke Marine Assekuranzmakler - the specialist insurance broker for the marine sector - has changed its name to Regent Marine Assekuranzmakler.

The name change reflects the company’s majority ownership by Regent Insurance Brokers (Europe)  since 2012, and the close working relationship which has existed between the two businesses ever since.

Staff, management, contracts and agreements remain unaffected by the change of name, which is intended to create a greater awareness of the company’s membership of the Regent group, and the resulting wider range of products available to customers.

Explains Managing Director Holger Warrelmann: "Here in Bremen, marine insurance is our main focus. But we now work together as a group, and can offer our shipping clients additional products and solutions; an example of this is employee pension schemes.“

The Regent Group is active in maritime and inland waterway insurance, transport insurance, insurance planning for employees, private pensions, employer‘s liability insurance, as well as property and liability insurance. In addition, Regent advises on risk management, loss prevention, logistics security, packaging and claims management.

The Regent Group has branches in Duisburg, Bremen, Erfurt and Bochum (Germany) as well as Poznan (Poland) and also provides insurance services for parent Imperial Logistics - a major logistics and transport group with diversified activities in 38 countries, employing over 30,000 staff and generating annual turnover of €3.1 billion.
