MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that, effective January 13, its subsidiary in Hong Kong, MOL Logistics (H.K.) Limited (MLG H.K.; Managing Director: Yasushi Nagashima) has been accredited as a Tier 2 Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), the highest rank of AEO qualification, by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (C&ED). Hong Kong’s AEO Tier 2 accreditation covers all customs, transportation, and warehousing operations. It recognizes MLG H.K.’s high-level compliance and security system in a series of global logistics operations from bonding and storage to customs and transportation. MLG H.K. is the second MOL Logistics Group company to earn three AEO qualifications (full license), following its subsidiary in the Netherlands, which was accredited as Full AEO in April 2008. The MOL Logistics Group takes a comprehensive approach to security management, continually upgrading its system to comply with laws and regulations in the global logistics business and striving to offer safe, reliable, high-quality logistics services as an essential partner in customer supply chains.
