Steamship lines are once again challenged to maintain service profitability since freight rates are at levels that are no longer sustainable. In order to maintain service integrity, we are forced to announce the following Rate Increase (RI) effective April 15th 2021 (last container gate in date):
Reefer cargo ex Namibia, Mozambique, South Africa:
To US East Coast and West Coast:
- USD 300/teu REEFER CONTAINERS
PSS - Peak Season Surcharge
SCOPE: EAST MED (EXCEPT ISRAEL) AND BLACK SEA EXCLUDING EEA COUNTRIES
Effective April 10th, 2021 Gate In Date
Please note the new PSS amount out of East Med and Black Sea into the United States effective April 10th 2021.
Please contact your MSC local agent for queries related to EEA port pairs not included in this announcement such as Bulgaria, Romania, Malta, Cyprus and Greece.
For your reference, EEA includes Member States of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia,Slovenia,Spain,Sweden) including their Outermost Regions(Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Reunion, Martinique, Mayotte and Saint-Martin (France), the Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain)) + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland

Please be advised that MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc. has filed and will implement an adjustment to the below PSS with the following Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) quantum and effective date for all shipments from the Indian Subcontinent to USA.
Cargo From: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives
To: USA and Puerto Rico:
- USD 1000 per 20' Equipment
- USD 1000 per 40' Equipment
- USD 1000 per 40'HC Equipment
Cargo From: Middle East (Bahrain / Iraq / Kuwait / Oman / Qatar / United Arab Emirates / Saudi Arabia (Dammam & Jubail only))
To: USA and Puerto Rico:
- USD 750 per 20' Equipment
- USD 750 per 40' Equipment
- USD 750 per 40'HC Equipment
Reefers and SOC & SOT are subject to the announced increase.
