Corpus Christi, TX, USA – As part of the Port of Corpus Christi’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, local non-profit organizations are given the opportunity to apply for sponsorship funding for local community programs, initiatives and activities which serve to improve the quality of life in our region.

Community groups are asked to submit their sponsorship funding requests during two defined application periods each fiscal year. The scheduled, semi-annual call for sponsorships, gives stakeholders a clear process to follow and help in their planning, and a mechanism for the Port of Corpus Christi to evaluate where its funding will have the greatest impact in the local community in which we live and work.

The submission period is June 1 – 30, 2019, for events occurring during the second half of 2019 (July 1 – December 31, 2019). The next submission period is October 1 – 31, 2019, for events occurring during the first half of 2020 (January 1 – June 30, 2020).

“As our Port continues to thrive and create new jobs in the region, it is important that we give back to the Coastal Bend Community,” said Sean Strawbridge, Port of Corpus Christi CEO. “Our sponsorship program is designed to help non-profits fulfill their mission, while ensuring these dollars stay local.”
