Eamonn Killeen has served the Port since 2002
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners has promoted Eamonn Killeen to lead the Real Estate Division at the nation’s second-busiest seaport.
The Director of Real Estate is responsible for generating revenue through leases of Port of Long Beach property and facilities and plays a crucial role in implementing environmental policies.
Killeen has been with the Port of Long Beach since 2002, starting as a Leasing Officer and working his way up to Senior Leasing Officer in 2009 and Assistant Director of Real Estate in 2014. He has been the Acting Director of Real Estate since June, following the retirement of the previous director.
During his time at the Port of Long Beach, Killeen has secured lease agreements with several Port tenants and coordinated the land acquisition for high-profile projects including the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement and the Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility.
Prior to joining the Port, Killeen held various roles since 1987 as a property manager for several privately owned companies that operate retail, office and industrial buildings in Southern California.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Finance from Indiana University. He was also a 2006 participant in Leadership Long Beach.
The appointment of Killeen is effective Dec. 8.
