The UK Chamber of Shipping is delighted to announce that His Royal Highness Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, will attend the 2018 Annual Dinner at the Park Lane Hilton on 5th February.

The Duke of Cambridge is President of United for Wildlife, which engages the transport industry to save protected species from illegal trade. The UK Chamber of Shipping was among the first signatories to the Buckingham Palace Declaration, which forms an action plan to strengthen defences against trafficking. Forty transport companies from around the world have since signed the agreement (pictured).

He will meet selected UK Chamber members during the President’s reception, before making a speech to all guests at 7.40pm.

UK Chamber CEO Guy Platten said “We are honoured to welcome the Duke of Cambridge to our Annual Dinner. The UK Chamber shares his commitment to ending the scourge of illegal animal trafficking, and through his leadership, and the proactive engagement of our industry, I am sure his campaign will be a success.”

Secretary of State for Transport, Chris Grayling, will also speak at the dinner, as will UK Chamber President, Dr. Grahaeme Henderson.
