Sensitech today announced the commercial launch of TempTale® GEO APX Global, a real-time location and condition monitoring solution designed to help food shippers maintain continuous visibility across ocean, road and rail journeys, from origin to final destination. Global food shipments routinely cross multiple transport modes, borders and cellular networks, creating visibility gaps that can make it difficult to catch a temperature excursion before product quality is affected. TempTale GEO APX Global monitors temperature, humidity, light and location, and transmits data automatically, without manual downloads, to the SensiWatch® Platform. Built on 4G LTE cellular connectivity with global coverage, the device is designed to keep shippers connected as carriers phase out legacy 2G and 3G networks. In the SensiWatch Platform, shippers can receive departure, arrival and exception alerts, along with a map-based view of shipment location and condition across their lanes.

A Portfolio for Every Shipment Profile

TempTale GEO APX Global supports ambient, fresh and frozen products across a range of cold chain applications and is available in configurations for shorter and longer global routes. The standard version supports refrigerated shipments up to 60 days and the extended version supports frozen and long-duration shipments up to 120 days.

Both offer an external probe option for shipments where core product temperature must be measured directly, such as bulk frozen loads or produce shipped in insulated packaging.

Professional Services and a Sustainable Device Lifecycle

Sensitech backs TempTale GEO APX Global with a global Professional Services team of food scientists, engineers, implementation specialists and data analytics consultants who help shippers set up monitoring programs, interpret data and improve cold chain performance over time.

At end of use, eligible devices can be returned through the Sensitech Device Takeback Program, which supports a more responsible approach to device reuse and waste reduction. The program reflects a circular business model Sensitech has practiced since 1990: receiving, renewing, calibrating and restocking devices to substantially reduce waste.
