Continuing its mission of evolving with the supply chain and creating innovative solutions that fulfill shifting customer needs, SMC³ has expanded RateWare XL and BatchMark XL, adding advanced small-package rating capabilities to the industry’s most powerful and reliable LTL rating and auditing solutions.

SMC³ announced the news on the opening day of its Jump Start 2018 conference. The latest versions of RateWare XL and BatchMark XL will be released in February.

The new small-package competencies empower customers to use both solutions to optimize small-shipment rating via UPS and FedEx. RateWare XL and BatchMark XL now feature rating information for FedEx express, ground, home delivery, overnight and two-day services; for UPS, the tools can return pricing information concerning next-day, two-day, three-day and ground shipments.

Shippers and other supply chain stakeholders already rely on the analytical API solutions RateWare XL and BatchMark XL to efficiently manage LTL rating complexity in both classification and density rating standards. RateWare XL can return rates in milliseconds, but also enables customers to batch rate, returning rates at a speed of 60,000 shipments per minute. For more powerful batch rating, customers choose BatchMark XL to accurately rate or rerate thousands of LTL freight bills simultaneously.

“At SMC³, we’re dedicated to solving the entire LTL shipment lifecycle, taking our customers through transportation procurement, pricing and transit-time analysis, all the way to shipment execution, visibility and audit,” said Andrew Slusher, SMC³’s president and CEO. “Adding small-package capabilities to our time-tested solutions is just one example of how SMC³ is constantly adapting and evolving with the ever-changing supply chain.”

Regardless of whether rating analysis is used for transportation procurement, planning, management or settlement, RateWare XL and BatchMark XL offer dramatic performance in speed, accuracy and agility. SMC³ backs these data-generation capabilities with multiple levels of redundancy to create a truly reliable and secure product.
