The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) has named Don Friddell its new chief marketing officer and chief operating officer. His primary responsibilities will include all marketing and communications, collaborating with the association’s board of directors on setting and implementing strategy, and directing staff and resources to support TMSA’s various committee initiatives.

Friddell has nearly 20 years’ experience in marketing, branding, and sales strategy in the transportation, logistics, and financial services industries. He was director of marketing with Kenco Logistics, where he led the marketing team and demand generation initiatives for this leading North American warehousing and transportation company. He has been a member of TMSA since 2004, and has served as the education committee chairman as well as on the association’s board of directors. Friddell holds a masters in business administration and bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
“We’re thrilled to have Don in this leadership role,” said Brian Everett, TMSA’s chief executive officer, who will continue to be instrumental in leading the association’s strategy and commercial development initiatives. “TMSA has experienced rapid growth over the last three years due to an expansion in member value, programs and services – and we’re now in a position to broaden our staff resources to support this continued growth.” Current membership in TMSA in nearing 600 members, ranging from third-party logistics companies and carriers of all modes to technology innovators and original equipment manufacturers.
