Flights will be offered from six United States airports to Iceland

LOS ANGELES - Iceland's ultra-low fare transatlantic airline, WOW air, wants to give everyone a chance to get away this winter with a new sale for travel through April. The airline will offer $69 one-way fares to Iceland and $89 one-way fares to select European cities including London (LGW), Amsterdam (AMS), Copenhagen (CPH), Brussels (BRU), Edinburgh (EDI), Dublin (DUB) and Frankfurt (FRA).

The discounted flights will be available from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Newark International Airport (EWR), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD).

"We want to start the year by giving our customers some of the lowest prices available," said Skúli Mogensen, founder and CEO of WOW air. "We saw great success and growth over the last year and I am confident it will continue into 2018 by offering great deals on transatlantic flights."

Launched in November 2011, WOW air now connects 39 destinations across the U.S. and Europe with the Icelandic capital. WOW air transported 2.8 million passengers in 2017, an increase of 69% on the previous year
