MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO - Level One Technologies is pleased to announce the addition of Zipline Logistics (ZIPL) tothe Epay Manager network. Epay Manager is a web application that extends the capabilities of transportation management systems (TMS).   Epay can be fully integrated with any TMS to more efficiently manage carrier settlements and customer invoices.  The system includes full document imaging capabilities. Zipline’s management made the decision to integrate its TMS with Epay in order to streamline and automate its carrier invoicing and customer settlement processes. Epay’s advanced document imaging module was an important factor in their decision. The module will provide Zipline’s staff with immediate access to the documents necessary to approve and pay carrier invoices. It will also transfer selected delivery documents automatically to the customer’s invoice. This new capability will accelerate Zipline’s customer billing and reduce the number of days its sales are outstanding.  By joining Epay’s network, management also expects to reduce the time and cost of resolving carrier disputes, which it believes will lead to greater carrier attraction, retention and satisfaction.   “Epay has completely changed our billing process. In the past, we asked carriers to submit paperwork to an email address.  But, too often their paperwork would get lost, be misplaced or end up missing. We also had problems with carriers sending documents in a format that our system couldn’t receive. Epay eliminated all those problems. It also changed the way we manage carrier disputes. Because Epay is a dual view system, every transaction is visible to both our staff and the carrier’s and communication is always current.  Now that we have Epay, when a carrier notifies us of a billing issue, we’re in a position to immediately resolve it, and the system will immediately notify the carrier of our decision. After implementing Epay, we noticed a significant reduction in the number of phone calls from carriers asking about paperwork or the current status of an invoice.  With Epay, there’s no reason for them to call us; the system is 100% transparent, and everything they want to know is already available to them”, said Pedro Martinez, Accounting Associate at Zipline. Wendy Rupp,  Accounting Associate at Zipline added, “This system is very user friendly and easy to learn and use.” Zipline’s decision to use Epay’s early payment module has allowed their carriers to manage payment terms on each invoice they process, by giving them the option of selecting an early payment date in exchange for a preapproved discount. When a carrier selects one of these options, it has the assurance that on the selected date, payment will be made. Epay’s early payment module give Zipline’s carriers the opportunity to control their cash flow; and, it gives Zipline the opportunity to reduce its transaction cost. “With the implementation of Epay Manager, Zipline’s back offices are much more automated.  Carriers are better able to predict and manage their cash flow and Zipline’s staff is spending far less time processing invoices.  It’s our expectation that Zipline will be able to grow more rapidly and without adding staff, but at the same time still be able to provide excellent service to its carriers.  We’re excited to have Zipline as the newest member of the Epay Manager family”, said Jason Kirkpatrick, Level One’s Director of Operations.
