In a move which will enhance customer service, Air New Zealand Cargo has moved its Heathrow operations closer to the airport, to the new dnata City at London Heathrow. The New Zealand flag carrier has moved into Unit Three of the purpose-built cargo logistics centre after 17 years at its previous handling unit. With an average of 1.4 million kgs throughput a month, dnata will provide two dedicated shift managers who will monitor Air New Zealand’s cargo products 24/7.  In addition to its new airfreight warehouse, transportation and yard for airside operations, the carrier will also have access to dnata City’s purpose-built pets reception centre. “Being the launch customer for this state of the art facility shows we are really moving with the times,” says Finlay McArthur, Regional Cargo Manager UK & Europe. “We have exceptional standards of customer service and we are confident that being handled through this new logistics centre will enable us to better serve our customers here at Heathrow.”  dnata’s Business Development Director – Cargo, Mohammed Akhlaq says, “It’s great for us to have Air New Zealand one of our long standing partners as a launch carrier for the much anticipated opening of our dnata City development at London Heathrow” “At dnata City we are keen to work with Air New Zealand to improve the speed, quality and efficiency for its customers through our investment in new facilities and technologies”
