Alitalia Cargo, in cooperation with Centurion Air Cargo, initiated a weekly flight from Milan’s Malpensa airport to Miami International airport with connecting service to Latin America. This new service will be operated with MD-11SF aircraft, providing a cargo payload of approximately 80 tons westbound and 72 tons eastbound.

This cooperation will provide competitive advantages for both Alitalia and Centurion customers. Both companies bring an extensive service network to the market, which will improve the Europe-USA-Latin America service levels. Alitalia’s cargo network in Milan’s Malpensa Airport, provides a strategic European location to provide timely connections to all European and intercontinental destinations.

Centurion Air Cargo has an extensive operation based in Miami International Airport, servicing most major destinations in Latin America. Principal destinations include: Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Peru. In addition, Centurion has been selected and designated to begin operations to Mexico in the near future.
