CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain management companies, today announced that it is expanding its operations in four strategic Mexico markets with new facilities in Guadalajara and Monterrey and the expansion of its existing locations in Mexico City and in Queretaro. “This expansion of our operations illustrates the strength of Mexico’s economy and CEVA’s strong commitment to the Mexican market,” said Boris Franchomme, CEVA’s Senior Vice President for Mexico and Central America.  “With our new and expanded facilities, we are positioning CEVA as the leading logistics provider in the country. Our multi customer warehouses allow both small and large customers to benefit from CEVA´s operational excellence and flawless execution based on our LEAN culture.” Guadalajara CEVA’s new facility in Guadalajara has 70,000 sq ft (6,500 sq m) of built-to-suit space and features cargo monitoring by closed circuit television and cross dock capability for all cargo, with seven docks and one ramp.  With the U.S. as its principal market, the new facility offers cross dock and consolidated services for North-bound cargo, as well as Contract Logistics capabilities. Additional services include pick and pack, high security warehousing under CCTV surveillance, IMMEX (temporary duty free import program), inland on-forwarding, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and Less-than-Truck Load (LTL) services handled by CEVA.  The facility is located in a new, access-controlled industrial park, just 10 minutes away from the airport. Monterey Located just five minutes from the Monterrey International Airport, CEVA’s new and expanded location consolidates several previously existing facilities into a larger central warehouse, which will simplify operations, enhance customer service and deliver synergies in resources and equipment utilization. The facility features 200,000 sq ft (18,600 sq m) of warehousing space with capacity for 15,000 pallet positions and round-the-clock park/yard security with controlled access via guardhouse and perimeter fencing.  The location is ideal for local and domestic distribution, with direct access to main roads such as the Nuevo Laredo Highway as well as toll highways to Reynosa and Saltillo.  Services provided at CEVA’s Monterrey operation include Air, Ground and Ocean transportation, value added services, domestic distribution, customs clearance including IMMEX (temporary importation services) and VMI.  Queretaro In Queretaro, our existing multi customer warehouse has expanded from 130,000 sq ft (12,100 sq m) to over 180,000 sq ft (16,700 sq m) to respond to the dynamic growth taking place in the central region of Mexico. In the last few years, new automotive and aerospace customers, as well as their tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers, have been investing heavily in the region and now require CEVA’s support for warehousing and distribution services. The facility is conveniently located on the main highway to Mexico City and offers Freight Management services (Air, Ocean, Ground, Customs) as well as cross dock, bonded and domestic warehousing, and value added services. This expanded facility strengthens CEVA’s position as the leading logistics services provider in this growing market. Mexico City CEVA’s flagship location in Mexico, opened three years ago in the north of Mexico City, has now relocated within the same industrial park and expanded from 80,000 sq ft (7430 sq m) to over 215,000 sq ft (20,000 sq m) of warehousing space. This modern, top-of-the line, high level security facility offers Mexico City customers the full portfolio of CEVA’s Freight Management and Contract Logistics services, including Air, Ocean and Ground inbound transportation, receipt, warehousing, kitting, labeling, as well as consolidation and distribution services within the extensive Mexico City metropolitan area (25 million people). This new facility supports several of CEVA’s most important customers in the high tech, pharmaceutical and industrial markets. All of these facilities will utilize CEVA’s industry leading CEVA Matrix® Warehouse Management System (WMS) to assist customers in managing inventories more cost effectively and in real time, using the system’s robust 24/7 reporting tools.
