Global Master Lease Agreement with Envirotainer AB ’ High-quality integrated cold chain solutions offered

Schenker AG has recently signed a Global Master Lease Agreement with Envirotainer AB, a Sweden-based provider of active temperature-controlled air cargo containers, and is expanding its offering in the field of temperature controlled service. DB Schenker will utilize Envirotainer’s specialized equipment, knowledge and expertise to provide temperature controlled air cargo solutions. The offer was designed to meet the specific requirements of customers in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, and other industries that have special requirements for valuable and extra sensitive products.

‘This new form of cooperation will leverage our performance for our healthcare customers in secure and temperature controlled supply chain,’ says Dr. Thomas C. Lieb, who is Chairman of the Management Board of Schenker AG. ‘With our air, ocean, land and rail transport services we already offer customers a single source for high-quality integrated cold chain solutions, connecting the markets in Europe, the Americas, and in Asia-Pacific.’

Thomas Persson, CEO of the Envirotainer Group, says: ‘It is exciting to see how the local partnership that DB Schenker and Envirotainer had for years in different regions of the world in place, has grown to a global partnership between our companies. This already existing solid foundation will now become the platform to launch the next big steps in the partnership. Considering DB Schenker’s logistics network, services and capabilities, we are proud that they have chosen Envirotainer to be their preferred partner for cold chain management service and technologies.’

DB Schenker has worked successfully with Envirotainer for many years in numerous countries. This agreement will allow DB Schenker to further expand its capability and offer in logistics for temperature-sensitive products and in providing services to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
