Etihad Crystal Cargo, a division of Etihad Airways, has launched freighter operations to Karachi, the Pakistani commercial capital.

Services to Karachi have begun and will operate once a week on Mondays. The operation will be serviced by Etihad Crystal Cargo's A300-600 freighter aircraft that has a capacity of 40 tons.

Des Vertannes, Etihad Crystal Cargo's executive vice president, said: 'Etihad Crystal Cargo continues to evaluate commercial opportunities that can sustain good economic returns and contribute to our network values.

'While increasing fuel costs remain a major concern we are delighted to be launching a freighter service to Karachi, a route that is a key destination in the cargo industry.'

Etihad Crystal Cargo flight EY933 departs every Monday from Abu Dhabi at 0.35am and arrives in Karachi at 3.35am. The return flight EY934 departs from Karachi at 5.50am and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 7.05am. All times are local.
