Evergreen Line has been named the international maritime commerce recipient of the 2010 Ryder Carrier Quality Award presented by Ryder System, Inc.), a leader in transportation and supply chain management solutions. Ryder presented the awards in Miami this week to 14 carriers; Evergreen Line was the only ocean carrier so honored.

This award recognizes excellence through a variety of metrics, including on-time performance, claims handling, customer service, technology applications, economic value and innovation. Ryder places more than $3.7 billion of its customers' freight on selected carriers in all modes of transportation.

Tim Podvin, General Manager, Global Procurement for Ryder Transportation Management and Dave Belter, VP/GM, Ryder Transportation Management made the presentation on June 15 in Miami, FL.
