Hamburg Sud North America, Inc. announced a re-alignment of the company's management team:
  • Juergen Pump, Senior Vice President, will assume responsibility for all Trade Management, Sales and Customer Service/Documentation and Business Information Management functions in North America.
  • Michael (Mike) Wilson, previously Vice President, Logistics, has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President responsible for Marine Operations, Logistics, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology functions.
  • Thomas (Tom) Pirie, Vice President, will assume responsibility for all Trade Management functions and will continue to report to Mr. Pump.

The'measures are taken to better align the management structure'of Hamburg S'd North America with the company's other regions worldwide and to streamline commercial functions.

As a consequence of this'reorganization,'Frank Larkin, Senior Vice President,'will assume an advisory role for an interim period'and later this year, with the regrets of the Board of Directors'of Hamburg S'd, will be leaving the'company to'pursue other opportunities. Mr. Larkin greatly contributed to the growth of Hamburg Sud'in'North America'in terms of volumes, revenues and market shares. The Board sincerely'thanks him for his leadership and dedication to the company'over the last 10 years and wishes him well'in his future endeavours.
